Oklahoma Landrun Ride
- Part 3
April 25,
2004
by Scott Nutt
The unassigned lands in central Oklahoma Territory were opened to
white settlement on April 22, 1889. 115 years and 3 days later,
a group of 11 Red Dirt Pedalers set out on a bicycle ride from the
north boundary in Stillwater, to the Terriotrial capital of Guthrie,
and on south to the present capital in Oklahoma City. Another group
of 3 rider started in Oklahoma City and rode north to meet the others
in Guthrie, including myself, the volunteer driver of one of our
SAG vehicles. - David
These are photos from the early part of the ride.
