The Finish Line The Redbud Classic once again used the ChampionChip for the 2003 event. Each participant was assigned a specific chip in their race packet. The chip attaches to the shoe (or ankle) with a provided zip tie. The ChampionChip allows the Redbud to provide faster and more accurate results. The chip was only used for the competitive events including the 100k bike, wheelchair, 10k inline skating, 2 mile walk, 2 mile run, and 10 k run.
