Tour de Arbuckles - Part 1 Octoebr 26, 2002 by David Kincannon The Tour de Arbuckles event started at Heritage Hall in Ardmore, OK There were routes of 14, 35, 51, and 74 miles. The 35 mile route went through the towns of Gene Autry and Springer. The 51 mile route went to Turner Falls in the Arbuckle Mountains, and the 74 mile route continued along the Washita River and into the town of Dougherty before returning to Turner Falls. All routes followed US-77 south to Ardmore. Ardmore is about a two and a half hour drive south of Stillwater on I-35. There were several cyclists from Dallas and north Texas. |
