The Tour of Payne is an organized bicycle ride offering
26, 36, 62, and 100 mile routes. It is sponsored by Stillwater's
Red Dirt Pedalers Bicycle Club. There will not be a
mountian bike route as there was in 2004. Our MTB is the Lake McMurtry Challenge,
which was on Sunday, March 28, 2004, 9am-3pm.
All routes are well marked and
will be supported until 2:30pm by SAG vehicles.
Fully stocked rest stops will be provided at appropriate intervals until 2:30pm.
Rest Stops will be located in or near Ripley, Cushing, Mehan, and Yale.
Construction on Highway US-177
has altered the routes slightly this year.
Showers and jacuzzi
will be available after the ride at the Best Western Pool area. Participants
have free use of the pool and pool area on the day of the ride. Please bring
your own soap and towel.
Free massages
are also available after the ride at the Best Western.
